SUMMARY:Remember the Ladies: Women of the American Revolution
DESCRIPTION:When we think of the American Revolution\, we often recall the familiar stories of the Declaration of Independence\, George Washington\, and the battles that secured American independence. But woven throughout that history are the stories of women whose courage\, sacrifice\, perseverance\, and contributions were essential to the Revolutionary cause. \nJoin us as T.J. Fallon of Dead History presents “Remember the Ladies—Women of the American Revolution\,” a fascinating look at the lives\, experiences\, and final resting places of the women who lived through—and helped shape—the American Revolution. \nFrom women whose names are familiar to those whose stories have largely faded from our collective memory\, T.J. Fallon brings these remarkable women to life and explores the many ways they contributed to the struggle for independence. \nThis entertaining and informative presentation offers a fresh perspective on the American Revolution and reminds us that the story of our nation’s founding is not complete without remembering the women who helped shape it. \n\nCo-sponsored by the Keyport Historical Society and the Matawan Historical Society.
