SUMMARY:Burrowes Mansion Tours
DESCRIPTION:On the first and third Sunday of each month\, Matawan Historical Society Mansion volunteers provide tours of the Burrowes Mansion to the public. Everyone is welcome and the tours are free (although donations to the Society are greatly appreciated). \nEach tour leads visitors room-to-room while guides discuss the Mansion’s dramatic history\, unique architecture\, period furniture\, and the fascinating people who lived there.

DESCRIPTION:Larry Mihlon is a retired Chief of Police from West Long Branch who has been a living historian\, reenactor and actor for decades. In celebration of our Nation’s 250th Anniversary\, he has assembled a presentation of Uncle Sam and performs a reading of the Declaration of Independence\, as well as a brief overview of the Uncle Sam character…which includes some Monmouth County ties to that star spangled\, American icon. \nFree admission. All are welcome to attend.
