Early Hawkins House Memories

The below story is attributed to Nellie Lambertson Grace (1906-2001), who reminisced about her grandmother, Marion Pullen Hawkins (1858-1945), the occupant of Matawan’s oldest residence, the Hawkins House on Mill Road, from 1891 until her death. She speaks of her family and life in Matawan in the early 20^th century.
