Main Street – 110

Atlantic Glass

This building housed several car dealerships over sixty years beginning in 1915.

From 1915 to 1919, it was Bushnell’s Garage and then renamed to Bushnell Motors.

From 1922 to 1935 it was referred to as Avery Brothers Chevrolet, Soehl’s Garage, and Thixton-Ungrich Chevrolet.

Then, from 1935 – 1959 it was “Robert Thixton Chevrolet/Oldsmobile”. In 1931 an ad said that they had twenty beautiful models ranging in price from $475 to $675.

In 1959, the business changed hands again and became Johnson-Gibb Motor Company.

110-main-car3Then in 1967, it was Gem Oldsmobile. It changed to Steven Oldsmobile in 1971-1974.

Finally, it became Atlantic Glass in 1975.
