The Ryer House
Built by David Ryer, a prosperous New York merchant. This house is referred to as Second Empire French style Victorian. David C. Ryer was a highly successful produce merchant in New York.
In the 1920s, Peter Munning owned the house.
In the 1960s it was the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Budd Sheesley. They restored
it to its Victorian elegance.
Dr. Michael Ambrosio owned the house 1969 – 2007.
Architectural Notes
Built c. 1876. Second Empire Victorian. Mansard roof with central tower and elaborate front porch with ornate molded cornices.
