Shark Attack Commemoration Tour

The anniversary of the Matawan Shark Attacks returns on Tuesday, July 12th, the 106th anniversary of that tragic day. In honor of the heroism exhibited by many and the events that followed, the Matawan Historical Society will be hosting their annual Shark Attack Commemoration Tour that day.
6:30 at Burrowes Mansion – 94 Main Street, Matawan
Tickets are $10 per person at the door. No advanced sales. Cash only, please.
Children under 16 years old are free. We will be giving out kids’ trivia sheets with a prize awarded, as well.
The tour begins at the mansion and will continue up Main Street to several locations between Main, Jackson, and Wyckoff, and Ravine Drive.
The amount of walking is about a mile. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes.
New information, stories, and new photos – the original photos used by the New York Times will be shown during the tour.
All are welcome for some refreshments as well.
